Calendar of Me

Y1 children don’t really have a good grasp of the flow of history yet. Seeing events in 50-100 year columns on a single or double page doesn't help them better understand the flow of time. 

Instead, devote an page to an event, and let them piece together their own flow of events. 

I recommend printing one sided, and placing in a binder with other schoolwork or a presentation slipcover (Aff: ).

After this comes together; pull it all out and lay it out in a chronological line and allow them to see the 'time line'
